The Skiing at Samoens
Samoëns is part of an extensive skiing area (260km of
slopes) that includes Flaine, Morillon, Les Carroz, and Sixt-Fer-A-Cheval
which is connected to Flaine by the 14km Piste des Cascades.
The Piste des Cascades runs through the nature reserve, and
was recently featured on television as one of the most picturesque
runs in France. The Grand Massif ski area has a magnificent
setting with superb panoramic views of Europe's highest mountain
Mont Blanc. It has everything needed to cater for skiers of
all abilities from Alpine skiing, extensive off piste, monoski,
telemark, cross country, snowboarding including Jam Parks,
snow shoes to explore hidden-away views, skating, parapenting,
ice climbing, caving, dog sledging, skidoo safaris, and of
course the children's favourite - sledging.
There are numerous reasonably priced mountain restaurants
throughout the area and we have done much research to help
you choose that perfect place!
